So my checks are about to run out, and here I’m searching for inexpensive, pretty, not your basic blue checks. Outrageous right, who in this day and age uses checks anymore? Well dah, I do. And since my bank charges so much for the basic checks, I REFUSE, yes I said, I REFUSE to give them anymore of my hard earn cash. So at 1:00 am, I am roaming the internet and to my delight I came across these checks called, you guess it Jamaica Checks.
Take a look!
Do you realized that Jamaica as a brand is one of the most recognizable globally? As Jamaica continues to showcase the island worldwide, we Jamaicans take great pride and honor in our brand as we share that positive kinship to “YAD” no matter what part of the globe we reside. Now I’m not one for stepping on other peoples’ creativity, but I do hope The Jamaica Promotions Agency (JAMPRO), the principal government agency responsible for promoting and safeguarding Jamaica’s brand internationally, had a hand in creating these gems. But it is refreshing to see brand Jamaica without the Bob Marley image or an athlete. Don’t get me wrong, I love Bob’s music and our athletes, but it’s nice to show that we are not all about reggae, weed and sports.
For Jamaicans and lovers of all things Jamaican living in the USA you can get a box of 150 personal cultural ethic checks from CheckAdvantage for $13.95. If you’re like me, and still write the occasional check, you get to display your Jamaican pride with the Humming Bird, Hibiscus Flower, a sea view or cow horn ( I think it’s a cow horn) next to the Jamaican flag.
As describe on the CheckAdvantge site.
“Jamaica Personal Checks from CheckAdvantage celebrate the essence of the island with artistically designed images of the nation’s wildlife, scenery and musical tradition.
These checks will remind you of the sense of happiness and peace you feel when you’re in Jamaica.”
I’m sharing this well-kept secret with you as I have told most if not all of the people around me about these gems. Hope you will be like this Jamaican Diva and display your Jamaican pride with these checks!
Have you seen the Jamaican Check? What do you think?
