I read an article in which Oprah asked, “What do I really want—and what is my spirit telling me is the best way to proceed?” This made me pause, review my bucket list, and listen to my spirit.
Over the years, I have always wanted to publish-back then an ezine, around different topics-but never did because someone had done it first. But ever so often, I would revisit the thought and once again put it on the back burner.
This year, I revisited the idea after a lengthy conversation with my friend, Keshia Richmond. I did my research, took an online class, and followed my passion. This gave birth to Jamaican Divas.
My spiritual growth has been a long and continuous journey. I keep striving to be a better person each and every day. I love to share what I have learnt or read and so Jamaican Divas will be my place on the internet to share the love of my homeland, its culture (not just reggae and dancehall) and especially the women who contribute to our communities both at home and aboard.
